Safety & Reporting

Your safety and respect for everyone are our priority.

Libertizy is a dating space reserved for an adult, informed audience. The freedom expressed here comes with one non-negotiable condition: respect for everyone. We provide our members with a clear reporting system, attentive moderation and a set of safeguards designed to protect the safety, dignity and consent of all. This page explains how you can alert our teams, what happens to your report, and the key pointers for enjoying carefree encounters.

A simple reporting system

Reporting inappropriate behaviour or content should always be immediate and easy. A “Report” button is available everywhere an issue may arise: on member profiles, within the messaging system, and on published content (photos, videos, listings, comments).

Anyone can submit a report. For publicly accessible content, you do not need to be logged in or hold an account: anyone can alert us to content that is clearly problematic. A report may be accompanied by a brief description to help inform our review. We ensure that this process remains confidential with respect to the person concerned.

What happens after a report is submitted

Every report is reviewed by our moderation team, which assesses the situation in light of our terms of use and the applicable legal framework. Depending on the severity and nature of the facts, several measures may be taken, either gradually or immediately:

  • hiding or removing the content concerned;
  • sending a warning to the member concerned;
  • temporary suspension of the account;
  • a permanent ban in the event of a serious or repeated breach;
  • where the facts warrant it, referral of the report to the competent authorities.

Where relevant and possible, the person who submitted the report is informed of the outcome. We also keep a record of reports and the decisions taken, in compliance with the regulations on the protection of personal data, in order to ensure the consistency of our moderation and to be able to respond to any requests from the authorities.

Reporting categories

To handle your alert accurately, the reporting form asks you to specify the reason. The main categories are as follows:

  • fake profile or identity theft;
  • harassment, unwanted insistence or unsolicited messages;
  • unlawful, violent or hateful content;
  • content involving, or appearing to involve, a minor;
  • scams, fraud, commercial solicitation or prostitution;
  • disclosure of personal data or intimate content without the consent of the person concerned (“revenge porn”).

If your situation does not correspond to any of these categories, you may still let us know: our team will review your request with the same care.

Manifestly unlawful content & the applicable framework

In carrying out its activity, Libertizy acts as a hosting provider for content published online by its members, within the meaning of Law No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN), in particular Article 6 thereof. As such, we do not carry out general monitoring of content, but we act diligently as soon as manifestly unlawful content is brought to our attention.

Our approach is also part of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 of 19 October 2022 on a single market for digital services, known as the “DSA”. In accordance with this text, we strive to guarantee:

  • a point of contact enabling reports to be submitted to us in an accessible manner;
  • diligent and non-arbitrary processing of notifications received;
  • the prompt removal of manifestly unlawful content that has been duly notified;
  • the possibility, for the author of content, to challenge a moderation decision concerning them.

The precise procedures for challenging a decision are provided to you whenever a measure is taken against content you have published.

Protection of minors

Access to Libertizy is strictly reserved for adults. With regard to minors, our position is one of zero tolerance, without any exception whatsoever. Any content involving, or appearing to involve, a minor is removed immediately as soon as it is identified, and is reported to the competent authorities.

We remind you that Article 227-24 of the French Criminal Code (Code pénal) makes it an offence to disseminate a message of a violent nature, inciting terrorism, pornographic, or liable to seriously undermine human dignity, or to incite minors to take part in games that physically endanger them, where that message is likely to be seen or perceived by a minor. The protection of children is, for us, an absolute requirement to which no consideration can ever be opposed.

Combating harassment

Respect for others begins with respecting a refusal. You may, at any time and without having to justify yourself, block a member: they will no longer be able to contact you or interact with you.

Our messaging system also includes an anti-follow-up mechanism designed to discourage unwanted insistence. A first message sent to a person is free; a follow-up message sent without a reply is charged in tokens; beyond that, further insistence is blocked until the person contacted has shown interest. This mechanism protects everyone from a flood of unwanted messages and encourages responsible exchanges.

Any clearly established harassment exposes its perpetrator to sanctions that may include suspension or a permanent ban on the account, without prejudice to any legal proceedings the victim would be entitled to bring.

Tips for safe encounters

Trust is built with care. A few simple habits go a long way towards carefree encounters:

  • keep control of your personal data and only share your contact details when appropriate;
  • choose a public place for a first meeting;
  • let someone close to you know where you are going and the planned time;
  • never send money, whatever reason is given;
  • report without delay any suspicious behaviour or any request that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Listening to your instincts is never excessive: at the slightest doubt, it is better to end a conversation or postpone a meeting.

Useful resources and numbers

In addition to our internal system, several official resources are available to support you, particularly in the event of a serious situation or emergency:

  • Pharos — the official platform for reporting unlawful content online: internet-signalement.gouv.fr;
  • 3018 — the dedicated number for digital violence and cyberbullying;
  • 119 — children in danger;
  • 17 — emergency police services, in the event of an emergency or immediate danger.

Zero tolerance

Certain acts are met with absolutely no leniency on Libertizy. Lack of consent, violence, content involving minors, and hateful remarks or content result in the immediate banning of their author as well as a report to the competent authorities. The freedom we celebrate can only be conceived within absolute respect for others: it is on this condition, and this condition alone, that everyone can feel safe.

Governing Language

This page is a translation provided for information purposes only. Only the French version is authoritative; in the event of any discrepancy of interpretation between the French version and a translated version, the French version shall prevail. This document remains governed by French law.

Report content or behaviour

This form is open to everyone, members and visitors alike. Use it to bring illegal content, a fraudulent profile or behaviour contrary to our code of conduct to our attention. Every report is reviewed by our moderation team.

This form is not an emergency channel

If someone is in immediate danger, call 17 (police), 119 (child protection) or 3018 (online violence) in France, or your local emergency number.

The data submitted is kept for the duration of the review, then for no more than twelve months after the case is closed. Your email address is used for this purpose only.
